About Us

Critical Alignment Contracting started with a single man, 15 years ago. We’ve spent 15 years and kept walking into the same mess: tile cracking along one wall, cabinet doors that wouldn't close flush, a floor you could roll a marble across. Pull the finish off and the cause was almost always underneath. A wall out of plumb. A subfloor nobody checked before the pretty stuff went on.

That's where the name comes from. In carpentry, alignment is everything. It's the difference between trim that meets in a tight corner and trim that needs a bead of caulk to hide the gap.

So we built the company backwards from the finish. Every job starts with a laser and a tape measure, not a sketch on the back of an invoice. We check what's there before we quote, we fix the structure before we cover it, and we put our workmanship warranty in writing, because we only guarantee work we've measured ourselves.

Victor made that approach matter even more. Houses here deal with heavy snow on the roof for months, frozen ground and air so dry that wood moves after it's installed. A house built fast and loose shows it by the second winter. We'd rather take an extra day on framing than come back in March to plane a door.

Today we work as a full general contracting company: new homes, whole house remodels, kitchens, bathrooms and custom millwork services, with the same crew lead on your job from the first walkthrough to the last punch list item.

The trucks have gotten bigger. The standard hasn't. Every person on our crew still checks the level before they check the clock.
